The Congress has raised questions on the political will of the Modi government to deal with China on the border standoff, a day after the military-levels talks between the two countries failed in ensuring disengagement in eastern Ladakh. “When is Modi Ji going to face China? When will the Chinese occupation be removed from the Indian territory? When are we going to push the Chinese back from Depsang, and Gogra Hot Springs,” asked Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.
Referring to how the 13th round of Corps Commander-level talks between the two countries could not produce any concrete resolutions, the Congress spokesperson said PM Modi “should not hide” but “he should tell the nation” about the actual situation on the border. On his part, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “China here to stay.” Where? On our land.”
