INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK Share Price Up by 5%; BSE BANKEX Index Up 0.2%

INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 23.

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 43,796 (up 0.2%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today is INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK (up 5.2%).

HDFC BANK (down 0.3%) and RBL BANK (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK has moved up from Rs 9 to Rs 23, registering a gain of Rs 14 (up 154.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE BANKEX has moved up from 26,272 to 43,796, registering a gain of 17,524 points (up 66.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TITAN (up 4.0%), BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.5%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 2.9%). Other gainers include SBI (up 1.8%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 0.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 17,996 (down 0.2%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include TITAN (up 4.1%), BAJAJ FINSERV (up 3.2%) and BAJAJ AUTO (up 3.1%). Other gainers include HERO MOTOCORP (up 2.2%) and SBI (up 1.7%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,183 to 60,264, registering a gain of 20,081 points (up 49.39%).


INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended June 2021, compared to a profit of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Operating income declined 4.3% to Rs 40.6 billion during the period as against Rs 42.4 billion in April-June 2020.

For the year ended March 2021, INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK reported 109.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 8.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 85.3 billion during FY20.

Revenue of the company grew 2.5% to Rs 170 billion during FY21.

The current Price to earnings ratio of INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 37.1x.<!–
